How to protect yourself when the government, the media, and the legal system threaten your freedom and livelihood
(plus how to get the edge at work and at home -- as explained by Bill O'Reilly)
Who's Looking Out for You?
by Bill O'Reilly
Who's Looking Out for You? is the latest dose of common sense and plain speaking from Bill O'Reilly, the vigorous, straight-shooting host of Fox's wildly popular O'Reilly Factor. O'Reilly presents an inspiring defense of the traditional family and scathing critiques of today's materialistic consumer culture, the perils of big government, the damage that the media establishment is doing to our nation's children, and much more.
(continued from above)
With his trademark wit and clarity on abundant display, O'Reilly also zeroes in on the ridiculous lengths that liberals go to today to banish all traces of religion from public life, skewers the anti-war hysteria that almost kept Saddam Hussein's brutal regime in power, and lambastes the self-serving legal establishment who are exploiting the American justice system for their own personal profit -- as well as the self-serving civil rights establishment that does nothing to bring real relief to the urban poor.
O'Reilly even includes the secrets of his own success, secrets that young people can study and use profitably in their own professional lives. In fact, from beginning to end Who's Looking Out for You? is a virtual guidebook to responsibility and productivity. As such, it's a terrific guidebook to teach young people essential aspects of how to be conservative -- and a wonderful celebration of the values that have made our nation the envy of the earth.
If you're a rock-ribbed conservative, you may not always agree with O'Reilly - but by the time you finish this book, you'll be cheering for his straightforward, no-nonsense evisceration of the most cherished liberal pieties. A sampling of O'Reilly's hard-hitting, take-no-prisoners analysis:
- Why the 12 million one-parent families in the USA today are brutally unfair to the children involved
- O'Reilly's Ten Commandments of Effective Parenting: solid educational, emotional, and spiritual guidelines to help your kids grow up to be happy, successful adults
- The "possession obsession": what's wrong with today's grasping and acquisitive popular culture
- Looking for a mate? A quick, easy, and reliable way to determine the character of a prospective mate
- The unwelcome-but-true observation that earned O'Reilly the wrath of Jordan's Queen Noor
- George Washington's still-relevant advice on how to choose one's companions in life
- Three things you must do if you want to take full advantage of living in the United States
- The federal government's dirty little secret -- and why you shouldn't count on Washington to be looking after your best interests
- Ten things the government is good at (no, providing effectively for the general welfare is not among them)
- Why four successive presidential administrations have declined to do anything to stem the ever-rising tide of illegal immigration -- despite growing evidence that it threatens our national security
- The horrifying reason why mass murderer Lee Malvo wasn't deported to his native Jamaica ten months before he and John Muhammad went on their killing spree
- Why the elite media shows no interest in redeeming the desert of filth that our pop culture has become
- Bill Clinton's questionable presidential pardons: the strange story of why they aren't the focus of a serious investigation
- Will Hillary hesitate to buy votes to make herself President? Not a chance, says O'Reilly
- Three enormous problems Slick Willie handed off to the Bush administration -- and why history is likely to deem the Clinton presidency an abject failure
- Why Al Gore comes off so stiff and cautious in public (and why we probably haven't seen the last of him)
- Proof from her Senate voting record that Hillary Clinton would like nothing more than to seize your money and redistribute it at her own discretion
- A chilling step that Hillary can and will take in order to achieve the power she craves so much
- The massive boondoggle that casts a shadow over the presidential aspirations of John Kerry
- Why the liberal media may be the worst enemy of all decent Americans today
- Whitney Houston and Jennifer Lopez: why these media-created "stars" are such pernicious examples for young people to emulate
- PBS and NPR: why, despite all their pretensions, they amount to little more than liberal house organs
- Bill Moyers's shifty game: how he has managed to use taxpayer dollars to fund his private corporation
- "Music Behind Bars": how O'Reilly led the battle against this degenerate "entertainment" program
- Separation of church and state: why this is one of the biggest frauds ever foisted upon the American people
- The real reason why radical secularists in America today have launched a new jihad against all traces of religion in public life
- Solid evidence that Benjamin Franklin, James Madison, and the other Founding Fathers staked the future of this country on its adherence to religious principles
- Two reasons why parents who try to teach sound values to their kids so often get derailed
- The much-overlooked reason why the number of students with severe psychological disorders has increased over the last five years
- Five reasons why the war in Iraq was justified -- reasons you didn't hear in the mainstream media's outrageously slanted coverage of the war
- "Bush lied about WMDs"? Not so fast: sound reasons why any reasonable analyst would have concluded that Saddam had banned weapons
- The truth about our justice system: overburdened, driven by money and connections, and often corrupt -- and what must be done to reform it now
- Why both black and white leaders often drop the ball when it comes to providing real racial leadership
- Eight steps to restore peace and sanity to our inner cities (if any politician could be found with the courage to take them)
- Why, of all the active politicians in America today, Hillary Clinton is the most dangerous

Bill O'Reilly in his special way of communicating with the average Joe was absolutely outstanding in this book. I was actually the first political book I ever read. I think the reason I enjoyed it so much is because I can relate to some of Mr. O'Reillys personal experiences. The book made me feel like he was talking directly to me. I felt more like it was a textbook giving me a great source of information that I needed to make life a little more pleasurable.

Another masterpiece, Mr. O. You never fail to amaze me. I cannot wait for your next book. I think I figured out who is looking out for me. It's YOU!!

Recently completed this book. It was good and I (like others) believed that he was 'looking out for me'. However, one thing that disappointed me is how O'Reilly doesn't seem to 'stand up' for ALL the Christian situations just the ones he happens to agree on . . . but I appreciate that he looks out for us all on at least some of them.
